Job Description

Our Tampa Structures team, within our Transportation business line, has a vacancy for a Senior Bridge CAD Designer to support the delivery of a broad range of transportation projects across Florida and beyond. You will be joining our local team recognized across the country as leaders in bridge design who continue to deliver high profile and impactful projects.

The successful candidate will be joining a team that is actively involved in the delivery of transportation projects to a range of both local, national, and international clients including significant and complex bridge structure s.

Incumbent Responsibilities:

  • Provide both routine and complex drafting assignments predominantly focused on surface transportation bridge structures using CAD software, primarily MicroStation Connect Edition (ORD, OBM & OBD) and Autodesk Civil 3D.

  • Digitize or create sketches or concepts from designers and provide assistance with geometric layout of bridge structures.

  • Prepare construction drawings from conceptual design to final deliverable package.

  • Work under general supervision.

  • Decision making with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.

  • Follow established procedures and requires instructions on new assignments.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • BA/BS with (4) years of relevant CAD experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

  • Knowledge of CAD Software (MicroStation Connect Edition including ORD, OBM, and OBD, or Autodesk Civil 3D).

  • Familiarity with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and other Office Products.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of FDOT procedures including the Structures Manual, FDOT Design Manual, CAD Manual, and QA/QC procedures

  • 10 years of CAD experience with transportation plans and more specifically detailing of bridge structures

  • Experience in written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience with reviewing project work details and project design organizational skills

  • Experience prioritizing work projects.

  • Experience performing multiple tasks in an organized manner

  • Experience working independently and as part of a team on deadline-driven activities

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $80,000.00 - $110,000.00.
