JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking experienced compliance professionals with expertise in SOX Auditing and Compliance. Join our team at the Highland Manor campus in Tampa, FL, where you will play a pivotal role in transforming our operating model and enhancing our control testing and compliance efforts across the firm.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct independent assessments of the design and effectiveness of controls executed by Corporate Functions and Lines of Business.

• Perform Monitoring and Testing activities to validate compliance with internal policies, procedures, and external laws, rules, and regulations, identifying any necessary remediation.

• Execute issue validations to ensure effectiveness of action plans implemented by Corporate Functions and Lines of Business.

• Collaborate with Compliance and Operational Risk Officers on engagements, including developing test scripts, issue discussions, business meetings, and drafting final reports.

• Utilize independent judgment and technical, operational, and regulatory experience to perform tasks.

Our Compliance teams work globally across all lines of business to advise internal stakeholders on regulatory requirements and balance these with the firm’s needs. Their diverse mandate includes providing input on new business strategies, product lines, policies, training, operational processes, risk mitigation, and control.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience in accounting, economics, finance, or other related subjects.

• 3-5 years of experience in Compliance, Internal or External Audit, or Risk functions, preferably in the financial services industry.

• Strong understanding of internal controls and the ability to assess risk mitigation considering business processes and characteristics.

• Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills.

• Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills and a multi-cultural understanding.

• Self-motivated, driven, proactive, personable, and an excellent communicator.

• Problem solver with the ability to work effectively with key stakeholders using strong influencing skills.

• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, prioritize workflow with minimal supervision, and meet deadlines.

• Ability to make sound decisions, including when to escalate issues.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
