Must have the following to apply:

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 - 5 years barrier wall installation or related experience
  • Class A CDL preferred but not required

**Job Description: The Barrier Wall Installer position requires performing installation of highway Barrier Wall and a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, company policies and procedures and safety guidelines.

Duties and Responsibility:**

  • Layout of highway barrier wall
  • Handling and installing all materials for highway barrier wall
  • Loading and unloading materials on a flat-bed truck and/or trailer by hand, digging holes, using power tools, operating a front-end loader or forklift, and other equipment
  • Other duties may be assigned

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Repeated physical effort including driving for several hours per day or several hours at a time, standing and walking for extended periods of time (more than several hours), loading and unloading equipment into and out of company vehicles, walking on varying ground surfaces and frequently lifting a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Working from elevated platforms, ladders or truck beds
  • Operating hand/power tools, manual dexterity to operate keyboards and smartphones, physical agility to use arms, legs and hands repetitively
  • Working outdoors, working safely under adverse environmental and weather conditions which include traffic areas, heavy construction equipment, fuel fumes and construction substances
  • Comfortable around vehicles moving through work zones and maintaining constant awareness of surroundings on construction site including placement of machinery and equipment, other employees and construction activities
  • Vision adequate to see moving vehicles, read highway construction MOT signs, read instructions, manuals, reports, and construction plans
  • Hearing adequate to hear approaching vehicles, audible commands at a distance from supervisors, conversations in person, and over the telephone
  • Communicating - both written and verbally, ability to complete daily paperwork as required by supervisor
  • Working a flexible schedule which can include day or night shifts, weekends and/or holidays, adjusting to a changing work schedule, working overtime and working individually and as a team with other employees
