The Florida Department of Health, Division of Medical Quality Assurance (MQA) has a systems support manager position that might be right for you.

The position manages a team responsible for data reporting whose members serve a variety of roles with data analysis and reporting and system access management. The division serves the public by licensing qualified health care providers, enforcing standards among licensees and facilities, and informing licensees and the public.     Your Specific Responsibilities:

    This position is responsible for overseeing staff who manage ad-hoc and statutorily required data reporting for the division, a public self-serve data portal and data-based public records requests. The manager oversees data sharing agreements and user access reviews.

    The successful candidate manages staff and is responsible for all supervisory duties including, but not limited to, hiring and selection, developing performance plans, conducting performance appraisals, planning and directing their work, approving leave, guiding training and professional development and taking disciplinary action as appropriate.

    The Systems Programming Administrator contributes to long-term initiatives and strategic planning and may be involved in projects. Advancing and leading team goals and the ability to effectively lead team members and peers to meet common divisional and bureau goals is expected.

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    Knowledge, skills, and abilities, including utilization of equipment, required for the position: Experience working with complex data sets; Experience with data analysis and/or database systems; managing data for public information and policy-related analysis a plus; Microsoft Office suite including Project and Visio; Experience as a technical project manager; Personnel management experience. Some experience with Oracle SOL Programming or programming for data set analysis using common data formats is preferred.

    Salary Range:

    $2,103.47 - $2,287.79 bi-weekly / $54,690.22 - $59,482.54 annually
