    POSITION DESCRIPTION: Maintain the Motor Carrier Size and Weight (MCSAW) Internet website and SharePoint pages. This would include overseeing the update and operation of the website and SharePoint pages, assisting internal and external users viewing the website and SharePoint pages.

    Responsible for managing official responses to the public and the Department on issues relating to the MCSAW Program once verified with the Statewide Scale Operations Manager. Supports the MCSAW Program in preparation of official correspondence, reports, charts, and graph documents. Gathers and compiles data records and proof-read reports as required to ensure consistency and accuracy.

    Maintain access and security control for all weigh station facilities. Also ensuring new staff obtain adequate access through the Automated Access Request Form (AARF) System. Keeping a monthly data report for the Statewide Scale Operations Manager of access and security control. Responsible for managing the configuration of the MCSAW network, switches, and CCTV security cameras.

    Maintain MCSAW Software development such as FOX, WIRA and other MCSAW supporting systems that will enhance and improve current and future technologies, and understanding the data being collected.

    Participate in meetings with internal and external customers to represent the MCSAW program interest. Provide useful input and recommendations of work products, required correspondence and follow-up contact as needed.

    Provide support during project implementation phase as needed. This includes attendance at project meetings; interaction with District offices, Project Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI), contractors, vendors and others upon request. Participate in project acceptance when requested. Assist with timely coordination with other stakeholders to resolve issues necessary to keep projects on track.

    Serve as the MCSAW Security Coordinator.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of fixed and static scale operations; Knowledge of engineering concepts, terminology, principles, and analytical techniques; Knowledge of Florida Department of Transportation standards, manuals, guidelines and practices; Knowledge of traffic data collection techniques; Knowledge of management principles and practices; Skilled in performing and managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines; Skilled in developing, implementing, and monitoring programs; Skilled in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting engineering data; Skilled in effective communication both in written form and orally; Skill in use of personal computers and ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access & Outlook); Ability to manage workload to produce on time resolutions to problems; Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, design standards, and manuals; Ability to apply engineering concepts, practices and functions; Ability to input and retrieve information from a computer database; Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret engineering data; Ability to work independently and make decisions; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

    OTHER JOB RELATED REQUIREMENTS: Extensive on the job and classroom training is required of incumbent to maintain job knowledge that is necessary as updates and change are made in responsibilities. This position requires a Level II Background check in accordance with the Statewide Law Enforcement Radio System (SLERs) requirements and section 282.709, Florida Statues. Due to the nature of this position, the incumbent must respond to emergencies and be “on call” (24 hour duty) when necessary

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Obtained a high school diploma or certificate of high school equivalency.
