Eaton Corporation Supply Chain Manager in Syracuse, New York

Eaton’s Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions (GEIS) division is currently seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join the team at our manufacturing facility in Syracuse, NY. Relocation assistance is available.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $105000.03 - $154000.04 a year.

What you’ll do:

You will lead the Supply Chain function for the Syracuse Plant with approximately $150M in sales annually. Key Supply Chain related functions include materials planning, scheduling, and ordering activities associated with the delivery of specific customer products, direct and indirect material purchasing, direct source material, inventory control, cycle count, and warehousing. Day to day activities include:

  • Manage and direct supply chain personnel in the planning, scheduling, procurement, and inventory control of material to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders while maintaining assigned inventory levels. Work with corporate commodity teams on supplier performance and cost out programs.

  • Serve as member of the plant’s senior management team and provides leadership and support for all local, division and corporate initiatives and objectives.

  • Manage current and future demand requirements with manufacturing and supplier capabilities/capacities to ensure completion of customer requirements.

  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining the plant’s SIOP (Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning) Process. Analyzes data, including enterprise requirements planning information and prepares consolidated managerial reports and recommend actions to facilitate optimal Supply Chain execution.

  • Develop and perform deep analysis of SAP system health/settings to ensure effective collaboration with external suppliers on purchasing and planning and forecasting.

  • Utilize continuous improvement framework, lean concepts, and problem-solving tools to design and improve the performance of the extended supply chain function.

  • Meet or exceed key metrics of days on hand, gross inventory, plant and supplier on-time delivery, days payable outstanding, cost savings, cycle count accuracy, supplier invoice on-hold metrics, and profit plan/budget forecasts. Manages inventory levels to meet established inventory & Day-on-Hand targets.

  • Ensure the accuracy of physical inventory to assure the timely fulfillment of customer orders while maintaining inventory levels that are beneficial to the overall operation of the company.

  • Foster an environment that promotes Eaton’s vision, encourages continuous improvement while aligning with supply chain functional requirements (i.e. Materials Management Assessment)

  • Support Supply Chain organizational capabilities and bench strength through functional excellence, training, and coaching.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university

  • Minimum five (5) years of supply chain management experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Minimum two (2) years' experience managing or leading people.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, or related field from an accredited institution

  • MBA in Supply Chain

  • 7+ years in a solid manufacturing background environment with an emphasis in material, purchasing, supply chain improvement and production leadership experience.

  • APICS, CPIM, CSCP or CPM certification

  • SAP/SAP BW experience

  • Lean implementation experience
