6 South Irving is a 40 bed Orthopedic/Medicine unit treating patients with orthopedic, and telemetry needs. Common patient diagnosis are major joint and limb procedures of upper and lower extremity, spine disorders, spinal fusions, hip and knee procedures.

A Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for the planning, implementing and evaluation of care for a given patient population with the established standards and practices of Crouse Hospital. This process is enacted through direct clinical practice, management of patient care and general professional duties.

  Education/Experience Requirements

  Required:

• Graduate of an accredited associate degree

  *A Graduate Nurse (GN) must complete NCLEX within 120 days of employment.

  Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from accredited nursing program or higher degree

  *Bachelor’s degree required within 8 years of being hired or those licensed after 2017.

  Licensure/Certification Requirements

  Required:

• Current New York State licensure as a Registered Nurse

• Basic Life Support (BLS)

  Preferred:

• Certification in a specialty area.

Hourly Rate Range

$33.00 - $46.02
