Job Designation The Mechanical Engineer will have the skills needed to complete concept development and detailed design through product release of engineered solutions for the weapons training industry. Products include weapon simulators for small arms, machine guns and anti-armor weapons. Live-fire targetry solutions include military moving and stationary targets, commercial target carriers, hit-detection equipment, and ballistic protection solutions. Job Core Responsibilities Perform engineering design of new products Design, modify, evaluate, and test mechanical components and assemblies Handle technical projects from concept to production Work closely with Subject Matter Experts, Project Engineers, to communicate issues and obtain feedback on designs, prototypes, and testing results. Produce design documentation packages for project deliverables. During initial design release for production the engineer will work closely with the manufacturing group to provide engineering technical support. Accomplish tasks with minimal supervision Job Specifications Creo (Pro-E) and Windchill experience and/or SolidWorks experience Ability to produce designs based on client specifications and requirement documents Ability to work as part of a multi-discipline engineering team to produce working designs and constructible drawing packages Hands-on experience working with mechanical prototype assembly and troubleshooting. Hands-on experience diagnosing and solving problems with existing mechanical designs Skilled with tools and devices needed for assembling electro-mechanical designs, prototypes, test fixtures and support equipment Understanding of welding, machining, and fabrication techniques and processes Ability to learn effective and safe handling of a wide variety of military and police weapons Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment Highly motivated and a self-starter Education Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET accredited college or university Job Location 296 Brogdon Road Suwanee GA 30024 Company Website inveristraining.com This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
