Candidates for this position should have significant experience and a demonstrated track record of success leading Learning teams. Candidates must have the proven ability to develop and lead a team of professionals who can interact across all levels and functions of the organization effectively. Candidates must also bring to this position a proven ability to lead during a time of significant change, and an ability to establish credibility and influence other executives through both formal and informal leadership.

Qualifications & Experience :

  • At least 10 years’ experience in Operations, Development and/or and related functions, experience in biopharmaceutical/life-sciences industries preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering or related fields. A master’s degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources Management or related fields is highly valued and preferred.

  • Strategic agility - Strong and demonstrated strategic thinking capability with proven success & discipline to focus on execution of strategic decisions while balance conflicting priorities.

  • Process Effectiveness & Drive for Results - Ability to provide innovative ideas to optimize the function and generate new ideas or alternatives that create value including seeking new information and external insights.

  • Exceptional executive written & oral communications critical with proven savvy in executive escalation of critical issues.

  • Exceptional capability to build alignment with senior level business partners.

  • Demonstrated strong ability to influence areas not under direct control to achieve objectives and effectively communicate challenging goals & objectives.

  • Demonstrated leadership capability with ability to make and act on decisions while balancing speed, quality, and risk.

  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and build strong relationships by being transparent, reliable, and delivering on commitments.

  • Experienced in management of people and challenging self and others to continuously learn and improve.

  • A history of developing and achieving key metrics and scorecards

  • Successful track record of building, leading, and maintaining high-performing and highly motivated teams; regarded and well respected as a strong leader.

  • Competency in developing strategic plans, as well as directing tactical execution; strong project management skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translating the Enterprise Learning Team’s vision and strategy into execution of GxP learning initiatives and applying core competencies across the GxP learning landscape to achieve sustainable and measurable improvements.

  • Acting as a thought leader and architect who will: advocate and align GQ leadership and the GQ organization around Learning Initiatives top-down; evaluate GQ business performance horizontally across GQ pillars.

  • Driving change management to promote a culture of continuous improvement and embedding it into our daily work, partnering with GPS and cross-functional leadership in developing and rolling out a culture of learning performance.

  • Assessing, analyzing, and implementing solutions across the Learning Ecosystem to identify and eliminate waste.

  • Building, maintaining, and leveraging relationships across the pillars to identify opportunities for process improvement, facilitate the implementation of process improvement, and continuously monitor processes and outcomes.

  • Set the overall direction of learning and continuous improvement throughout Global Quality and across the GxP Learning landscape.

  • Develop and implement a risk-based learning approach for end to end (E2E processes supporting regulated functional areas across the product lifecycle.

  • Lead Quality centralized learning to build capabilities & drive quality growth mindset and establish a center of excellence for Quality capability building, defining standards, deployment model, in collaboration with GPS Learning.

  • Lead a team of centralized LMS administrators to drive efficiency and compliance across the GxP Learning landscape.

  • Define and optimize competency / capability-based processes to replace and / or supplement read & understood methodology.

  • Serve as point of contact for GxP Learning and collaborate with SMEs across the organization for audits and external Health Authority (HA) inspections.

  • Lead and define the learning integration strategy for all Mergers & Acquisitions

  • Collaborate with external learning leaders to benchmark, drive industry standard, and improve current processes.

  • Create scalable capabilities (training, coaching, tools, etc.) which can be pulled through within the function to ensure focus on execution.

  • Ensure desired Learning outcomes are achieved through centrally tracked and transparent metrics.

  • Leading by example in promoting Quality Culture and role-modeling the BMS Values. Develops and executes site training strategy – including working with site stakeholders to determine learning needs and priorities and provides appropriate training to meet those learning needs.

  • Create, maintain & assign QMS L2, including BMSDocs and Infinity curricula.

  • Design & deploy material & content for Global QMS training including material translation.

  • Manage & maintain Qualified Trainer program (eLearning, ILT, evaluation)​

  • Design, deploy & monitor Annual GxP Refresher training content & completion.

  • Manage & maintain QMS Training Procedural Documentation

  • Develops training resources within functional departments to be able to identify and solve learning needs as they arise.

  • Evaluate and enhance the current on-boarding structure for all new hires, including customizations of on-boarding plans for all roles and levels on the team.

  • Develop training sessions and materials for existing employees ensuring all aspects of job responsibilities and expectations are met to improve efficiency, effectiveness and compliance and address gaps appropriately.

  • Participate, review, and interpret system release management documentation into materials for training all staff.

  • Develop and oversee departmental strategy and goals in alignment with site strategies.

  • Work as a training and competency expert with various teams and clients developing micro-learnings, webinars and other presentations.

  • Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines and departments.

  • Leading by example in promoting Quality Culture and role-modeling the BMS Values.
