Robert Half Payroll Administrator in Stockton, California

Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our clients team in the construction and contractor industry, based in Stockton, California. As a Payroll Administrator, your primary role will be managing payroll processing and reports, union reporting, benefits administration, and payroll taxes. Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accurate and timely processing of weekly payroll reports ensuring minimal errors in job cost postings.

• Liaise with field personnel performing private, prevailing wage, and union work.

• Handle union reporting and remittance along with benefits administration and payroll taxes.

• Compile, complete, and enter Certified Payroll reports and reviews in DIR, LCP Tracker, and other online reporting systems to ensure compliance.

• Conduct weekly completion of company certified payroll reports and review subcontractors for compliance.

• Manage and monitor employee Paid Time Off (PTO).

• Oversee subcontractors’ compliance and labor records.

• Facilitate the processing of new hires and terminations.

• Utilize skills in ADP - Microsoft Excel, 401k - RRSP Administration, About Time, Accounting Functions, Benefit Functions, Check Processing, Payroll - Union, Prevailing Wage, and Certified Payroll.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Payroll Administrator in the Construction/Contractor industry.

• Experience in 401k - RRSP Administration.

• Knowledge of About Time, Accounting Functions, and Benefit Functions.

• Skilled in Check Processing.

• Experience in Payroll - Union, Prevailing Wage, and Certified Payroll.

• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.

• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
