Regions Hospital Registered Nurse - Trauma & Surgical Care in St. Paul, Minnesota

Regions Hospital is looking to hire an exceptional, patient focused Registered Nurse to join our Trauma & Surgical Unit and make a difference for our patients and our community. This unit is very fast paced. Patients on this general/progressive surgical, specialties surgical and trauma care unit include: trauma, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, amputations, colorectal, non-trauma emergent surgery, oncology surgical, plastics surgical, GYN surgical & surgical patients requiring BiPaP, tracheostomies, laryngectomies, complex wounds and/or bedside telemetry. We care for patients age 16 and above. We are known for saving lives in our Level I Trauma Center, and our nursing staff are key to the exceptional care we provide each patient. Our Professional Nursing Practice Model offers patient and family-centered care that maintains an unwavering focus on what matters most: caring and healing at the patient's bedside. As a nursing professional you will be empowered to manage your clinical practice and working environment through our Shared Governance Model, which focuses on evidence-based nursing practice. Work Schedule: 0.70 Nights. 8 hour shifts during the week and 12 hour shifts every 3rd weekend. Required Qualifications: *Degree in Nursing *Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota *CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers Preferred Qualifications: *BSN/MSN strongly preferred and generally expected that BSN/MSN is obtained within 5 years of hire *One year of acute care RN experience is preferred Benefits: Regions Hospital offers a competitive benefits package (.5 FTE or greater) that includes medical insurance, dental insurance, 401K with match, disability insurance, and tuition reimbursement.
