Robert Half Payroll Manager/Director in St. Paul, Minnesota

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Supervisor/Manager/Director in St. Paul, Minnesota. This role involves managing a shared services team responsible for payroll processing for our diverse brands. The role will be instrumental in streamlining the payroll process and transitioning to a bi-weekly payroll system.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the management of payroll for approximately 10,000 employees across various brands

• Lead a shared services team responsible for processing thousands of timecards weekly and entering the information into the billing system

• Liaise with the shared services team for ADP setup for specific brands

• Streamline the payroll process which is currently being done in diverse ways across our brand portfolio

• Transition the payroll frequency from weekly to bi-weekly for one of our brands

• Provide guidance and leadership in the payroll function, especially as we acquire new businesses

• Leverage your experience with billing systems to improve our processes, though having experience with a specific software is not a necessity

• Collaborate with an internal consultant to facilitate transitions and implement new processes

Skills:

• Proficiency with Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with ADP - Payroll and Paylocity

• Extensive experience with Payroll processing

• Knowledge of Billing software

• Experience with Medicaid Billing Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Payroll Supervisor/Manager/Director role or similar position

• Proficient in Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with ADP - Payroll systems

• Proven experience in Payroll management

• Knowledge of Billing software

• Experience in Medicaid Billing is required

• Familiarity with Paylocity software is a must

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field is preferred
