Fairview Health Services Medical Assistant / MA / LPN - Urgent Care in St Paul, Minnesota

Overview

We at Fairview Health Services are looking for a Medical Assistant to join the Urgent Care team based out of the Highland Park Clinic in St. Paul, MN. This role is approved for 48every two weeks and is a benefit eligible position. This role also qualifies for a $4000 sign on bonus! Wages for this role will start at $21.50 and increase based on experience. This position does require that you are able to work every-other weekend.

The Urgent Care is open 10 am to 8 pm Monday -Friday and 9 am to 8 pm on Weekends.

We believe the schedule for this role will be:

Week 1: Wednesday 5-8, Thursday 10-8 Friday 10-8

Week 2: Wednesday 5-8, Friday 5-8, Saturday 9-8, Sunday 9-8

The Fairview Urgent Care teams work together to ensure we are providing the best care for our patients. With 12 different urgent care locations, you may be asked to travel to another site that is outside your “home grouping” when needed. We offer urgent care at: Andover, Bloomington–Oxboro, Brooklyn Park, Eagan, Edina, Highland Park, Lakeville, Mall of America, Maplewood, North Branch, River Falls, or Woodwinds (Woodbury. If you travel out of your home sites, we do offer a monetary incentive to thank you for being flexible.

Responsibilities Job Description

The Medical Assistant supports quality patient- and family-centered care principles through performing a variety of high standard functions within a care team supporting the needs of the healthcare team and patients/families. The MA will collect information and documents to support the patient visit. The MA is responsible for adhering to all policies, procedures and practice guidelines, promoting cohesion with all members of the health care team, maintaining complete, timely and accurate clinical documentation for each patient and continually looking for opportunities to improve processes and workflow

  • Delivers care as delegated by the authorized practitioner to assigned patient population, or individual patient.

  • Prioritizes work based on patient acuity, available resources, patient/family preferences, provider schedule, in collaboration with other care team members.

  • Efficiently communicates compliance and concerns to delegating physician/authorized practitioner/RN.

  • Engage in change to improve the work environment and patient experience

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or LPN

  • Basic Life Support Certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ambulatory Care Experience

  • AAMA Certification
