Positions details:

• Location St. Joseph Hospital North with expectation to travel to other hospitals in the east region.

• Status: Full-time, salary

• Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

• Occasional weekends

• On Call: no

• Always in person

The Advanced Professional Development Practitioner serves as the regional and system lead for education and professional development programs. Partners with key stakeholders to achieve organizational goals, including the identification and assessment of needs.

• Develops and facilitates implementation of the recommended program.

• Manages and monitors program effectiveness via service and outcome measures

• Calculates return on investment, maintaining financial responsibility.

• Investigate and pursue outside resources for program funding.

• Develops curriculum and trains others to facilitate the delivery of content

• Acts as a champion for scientific inquiry using evidence-based practice and research for clinical and professional development practice change.

• Follows the Association for Nursing Professional Development (ANPD) Scope and Standards of Practice. ANCC certification preferred.

• Serves as a resource and developer to the Professional Development Practitioner.

• System (BayCare) lead for AHA, SJH AHA Training Center Coordinator & Co-chair RQI Steering Commit

• Lead for RQI & AHA for BayCare's East Region Hospital's

• East Region lead for Preceptor (nurse) program & member of the BayCare Preceptor committee.

• Student Liaison for SJHN, Member of advisory board for local college & BayCare Student committee.

• Supports St. Jospeh Hospital North & regional educational roll-outs.

Requirements:

• RN (Registered Nurse) License

• Required MSN with 3 years of Clinical Experience and 2 years of Education experience

• Preferred professional organization certification

• Preferred ANPD certification

• Preferred unit-based education and/or teaching/preceptor experience

• AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS instructor
