Job Description

  • Supervise, direct, coordinate, and keep records for trucker/stores associates. Confirm processes and instructions are being followed. Address issues as required.

  • Owner of shipping/receiving value streams.

  • Access and update customer and third party websites as required.

  • Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities.

  • Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.

  • Contact suppliers, customers and freight representatives to resolve issues.

  • Work with planners to identify potential material shortages.

  • Maintain integrity of the warehouse inventory system by regularly auditing status and addressing concerns as needed.

  • Inspect materials, products, tools, parts, and/or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.

  • Conduct associate training in equipment operations and production processes and work and safety procedures.

  • Comply with the collective bargaining agreement and respond to issues at the first step of the grievance process.

  • Enforce safety, environmental and health regulations.

  • Coach and inspire associates to strive for success and resolve problems that impede optimum performance.

  • Cross train in other areas to support back filling, including warehousing, internal transport and planning.

Qualifications

Associates Degree (accredited two year college or trade/technical school)

2-4 years prior supervisory work experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Experience in a union environment a plus
