At Mercy Medical Center the Cardiac Cath Lab functions independently as a member of our team of Nurses, Cardiovascular Technologists, and Interventional Cardiologists, the RN provides care to patients undergoing elective and emergent invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures. The lab also performs pacemaker and defibrillator implantations, generator changes, loop recorder insertions, tilt table tests, transesophageal echocardiograms, and cardioversion procedures. This role performs a variety of tasks to ensure patient safety and comfort including patient assessment and hemodynamic monitoring, pre procedure preparation and administration of conscious sedation. provides quality care primarily assisting physicians with procedures and monitors patients during their stay. What you will do

In this critical role you will assist in creating and managing nursing care plans and will participate in the evaluation of current and future medical needs of the patient.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education : Graduate of an accredited college or university affiliated nursing program. BSN graduate preferred.

  • Licensure : Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse RN in Massachusetts.

  • Certification : BLS (AHA/ARC). ACLS required within 6 months of hire.

  • Experience: Previous Critical Care experience preferred, at least 2 years of Acute Care, Med/Surg or specialty experience required.

Work Schedule : Full Time-40 Hours, 10-Hour Day Shift, Rotating Call
