About the Role:
The Corporate Sanitation Manager provides sanitation and pest control expertise and support to multiple manufacturing facilities and facilitates cross-functional collaboration to meet key performance indicators (KPI's) and in support of continuous improvement efforts. The manager conducts audits, trainings, verification and validation of sanitation processes.
Facilitates cross-functional collaboration with Operations, QA, Food Safety, Business Unit Leaders and Chemical and Pest Control Supply Vendors, to implement sanitation programs and meet key performance indicators (KPI's). Contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Provides direction to facility personnel in the development of systems, knowledge, capabilities, and practices in order to comply with all pertinent food regulations and company procedures. Educate and provide technical support where needed.
Monitors and reports on emerging issues related to sanitation, pest control and food safety. Develops strategies, policies and procedures to mitigate. Monitors sanitation and pest control vendor reports to ensure all action items are being added to the CAPA programs and are closed out and verified.
Conducts periodic sanitation and pest audits against the consistent application and execution of procedures and all related sanitation and pest practices.
Provides technical support on effectiveness of plant sanitation and cleaning programs (SSOP's). Guides facilities during special plant sanitation issues such as allergen cleans, microbiological and environmental controls. Assist in plant start-up activities (including review of SSOP documentation and cleaning verification documents).
Ensures facilities verify and validate automated cleaning systems annually.
Provides technical direction to facility Sanitarians to ensure that all records are completed, reviewed and signed off (i.e.- chemical concentrations, CIP validations, pre-operational inspection, COP records, SSOP's, etc.).
Promotes consistency and aligns across divisions where possible.
May perform other duties as assigned.
Important Details: This is a full-time role required to travel approximately 75% to our manufacturing plants across the US & Canada
About You:
You’ll fit right in if you have:
Minimum 8 years’ experience in food production sanitation and/or pest control
Bachelor’s degree required – preferred Food Science, Food Safety, Microbiology or related scientific field.
Experience with diverse sanitizing applications (wet clean, dry clean, CIP systems, automation)
Experience in successfully addressing environmental sanitation challenges in areas such as drains, floors, walls roofs, equipment.
Experience managing multiple, remote locations and leading through influence
Experience providing supervision, guidance, effective training and counsel to others
Ability to understand and analyze issues involving food manufacturing, project management, mathematics (including statistics), technical and legal documents and schematics
Ability to write and disseminate policies and procedures
Ability to understand food and environmental regulations and their impact on the organization, and our customers.
