Robert Half Medical Customer Service Representative in Spokane, Washington

Description

We are providing an opportunity for an organized and detail-oriented individual to be a part of our team as a Medical Customer Service Representative in the healthcare, hospitals, and social assistance industry. The position is based in Spokane, Washington. This role involves the coordination and processing of new patient accounts and maintaining a strong relationship with other departments. You will also handle customer calls and inquiries, ensuring a high level of customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and process new patient accounts in a timely manner

• Maintain accurate customer records and produce all necessary delivery paperwork

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with other departments including Referral Management and Territory Sales Managers

• Handle inbound and outbound customer calls, emails, and inquiries

• Address and resolve customer concerns or issues efficiently

• Adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations

• Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs

• Provide clear and concise information to customers on products, services, and processes

• Accurately load all patient information into the working system

• Maintain a strong working knowledge of products, services, funding sources, and company policies

• Adhere to established quality standards and guidelines in customer interactions

• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

MUST BE COMFORTABLE WORKING IN OFFICE. THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN SPOKANE, WA. THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION!

• Must possess strong customer service skills with a proven ability to interact effectively with clients and customers.

• Excellent communication skills including the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.

• Must have experience in sales and be able to demonstrate a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.

• Experience in documentation processes, understanding the importance of accurate record keeping and paperwork administration.

• Familiarity with standard procedures in the healthcare industry and the ability to adhere to these.

• Knowledge of insurance processes, including medical coverage and disability claims, and the ability to handle such matters with professionalism and discretion.

• Understanding of benefit functions and payroll functions within a healthcare setting is advantageous.

• Experience in a call center customer service environment is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with best practices within the healthcare industry and a commitment to maintaining high quality assurance standards.

• Must have the ability to understand and adhere to company policy and regulations, including those that are HIPAA-regulated.

• Proficiency in using computer systems for tasks such as data entry, record keeping, and cost analysis.

• Must be willing to work onsite and comply with all health and safety regulations.

• Understanding of salary structures within the healthcare industry would be beneficial.

• A background in production or logistics within a healthcare setting would be advantageous.

• Must have a proactive attitude towards fund administration and be able to manage financial resources effectively.

• A clear understanding of time management and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively is required.
