Responsibilities You will solve technical issues and offer support to customers and stakeholders, remotely and through travel. You will guide or oversee the planning and execution of projects to install, test, and implement new systems and technologies at a submarine training center, working in both lab and live environments. You will conduct testing, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance on multi-reconfigurable training systems to ensure they are running smoothly and effectively. You will create agreements outlining customer support service expectations and requirements, including setting up performance metrics to assess the support center's efficiency and effectiveness. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. In addition: NO-04: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Delivering technical support in a submarine setting; AND Encompassing system testing, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance for optimal operation. NO-05: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Conducting analysis and troubleshooting to resolve complex submarine communication issues, ensuring operational integrity through end-to-end testing, maintenance, AND tailored solutions to customer requirements. Education To qualify via education: NO-04: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. Relocation incentives as described in 5 USC 5743 may be authorized in accordance with applicable regulations. PCS is not authorized.
