Eaton Corporation Master Service Technician in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Master Service Technician. This role is based out of our South Milwaukee, WI location.

This position is accountable for providing post-sales support from within the division services group for assigned products and plants in execution of daily and long-term warranty & non-warranty activities such as product troubleshooting, product return and rework, and issue resolution. Performance of these duties to satisfy the customer needs regarding field product issues is imperative. In addition, this position is accountable for ensuring effective and efficient communications with all customers, participation in customer resolution activities both in-house and on-site for service-related customer issues and assist in the product training activities of the organization.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $63749.97 - $93499.96 a year.

What you’ll do:

  • Utilizes the applicable Quality Database Management System and SAP to record and process product return and repairs, create work orders to process equipment production testing, and document necessary information to the organization.

  • Responsible to perform inspection, troubleshooting, testing, performing product repairs, supporting equipment analysis investigations, and providing technical guidance for repairs in the field, or returned to external service providers as required.

  • Responsible for providing organization with information relative to analysis findings of returned product.

  • Maintains an in-depth knowledge of Switchgear Controls and associated Apparatus products.

  • Participates in service ticket follow-up activities with appropriate internal and external resources as necessary to ensure tickets are completed and customer issues are resolved. Maintains a channel of communication with Warranty Services Representatives as to repair status and anticipated return of product.

  • Assists as requested in the organization of, or participate in customer visits, product teardown, plant tours or customer witness testing. Participate and lead customer training of Switchgear Apparatus products.

  • Participates in maintaining department and ISO quality standards for Warranty activities. Dedicated to the concept of continuous improvement.

  • Potential for limited travel to domestic and international locations as required to organize, perform, or participate, and oversee field repairs or related service activities.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in Production Testing of Controls, Field Service or Engineering experience in an electrical / mechanical equipment or Power Systems products.

  • Knowledge of SAP

  • Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of technical and commercial aspects of product design, manufacture, and application.

  • Bachelor of Science degree in an Electronics field from an accredited institution.

  • PC application experience including MS Office products.

Skills:
