About the Role
As an Automation and Controls Specialist you will ensure that all site controls are at their optimum conditions. You will also identify new opportunities to drive continuous improvements to the lines, machine centers, processes and asset reliability in general. The Controls and Automation Specialist will work together with the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Team and Production Manager to effectively deploy resources towards new improvements or projects.
Key Responsibilities
The Controls and Automation Specialist will work together with the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Team and Production Manager to effectively deploy resources towards new improvements or projects.
With Core role responsibilities including:
Ensure compliance with safety and food safety guidelines
Troubleshoot, service and fix the computerized systems and automated devices
Perform routing diagnostic checks on automated systems
Monitor automated systems, isolate problems and perform repairs
Drive continuous improvement on the performance of the assets and controls in general
Analysing needs and product requirements to create a program design
Provide feedback on new capital projects to align with current controls and automation
Assist with integration and automation of new equipment in plant
Develop new automation processes
Conducts continuous improvement studies through automation design, cost benefit analysis and maintenance.
Oversee the Plant Facilities Operation, Wastewater and Energy Resources.
Work under minimal supervision
Perform other job functions as directed by management.
About You
You’re detail orientated with excellent organizational skills along with written and verbal communication to go along with relative experience that may include:
University, College robotic/engineering technology, or five years related experience in manufacturing with training in PLC programming and Controls
Ability to work effectively with other departments and with external suppliers
Physically able to repeatedly lift a 40-pound case of wine
TCP/IP network troubleshooting
Experience in database management, analysing and reporting data regarding asset reliability
Thorough comprehension of reading, writing and speaking English
Willing and able to work overtime and weekends as needed
Flexible with variations in line and shift assignments
Mathematical abilities, including:
the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure (whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals), and
the ability to calculate raw material consumption rates, production rates, averages, and production efficiencies
Proficiency with basic computer operations and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Pay Transparency Disclosure: The base pay range offered for this position is $30 to $42 per hour. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, and alignment with market data. Our expectation is that the incumbent will work out of Sonoma, CA. If the incumbent works out of another location, the wage rate may fall above or below this range. Treasury reserves the right to modify the range in the future.
