Material Handler General Summary The Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for fulfilling orders and packaging items for shipment. This position is responsible for loading and unloading materials and products and verifying order accuracy. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Essential Job Functions Maintains a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety standards and practices and to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential hazards or concern Performs all duties as assigned and adheres to TEAM's Core Values Performs basic material handling activities: unloading trucks, receiving parts, material movements, order fulfillment, cycle counts and inventory error investigation Performs put- a- ways of inventory from vendor as well as manufacturing Maintains inventory identification by labeling all components with company part numbers, heat numbers and or lot numbers and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory and transacting in the ERP system AX Maintains traceability on all components picked or stocked Verifies order information to ensure order accuracy Locates materials and supplies for orders by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders and sales orders from material picking list. Kitting and moving the picked order to the correct manufacturing production cell or temporary storage location Maintains inventory controls systematically by collecting stock location orders, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through a computer Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, packing, crating, loading, and securing product Prepares and verifies shipping documents Monitors and recommends solutions to material control problems Maintains quality and condition of warehouse items and facilities Utilizes power lifting equipment: pallet jack, forklift, stand-up, etc. Maintains a clean and organized work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; Sweep, dust and mop Maintains sufficient knowledge of all equipment used by department and any safety requirements during its operation May assist in counting of physical inventory Picks up and delivers parts between vendors and shop as necessary Job Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Familiar with 5S methodology and requirements. Travel Requirements: 0% - 25% Work Conditions Position is based out of a branch or site location.
