Spectrum Billing Solutions RCM Billing Manager in Skokie, Illinois

Spectrum Billing Solutions is an industry-leading revenue cycle management company for healthcare organizations. We are seeking to hire a  passionate and skilled RCM Billing Manager who  be responsible to oversee the revenue cycle management team while ensuring billing and collections are performed in an efficient and effective manner.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide planning, direction and priority setting for RCM team.

  • Stay current with medical coding guidelines, literature and industry updates.

  • Identify, analyze and address any challenges in the revenue cycle process.

  • Assist with development and implementation of training programs, policies, guidelines, and processes.

  • Review performance measures and standards for team's performance reviews.

  • Ensure accurate and timely posting of charges and payments.

  • Review of A/R Aging and collections reports.

  • Conduct regular meetings with the team to ensure RCM plans, programs, and projects are adhering to deadlines.

  • Oversee process of insurance appeals and proper handling of any insurance issues.

  • Provide support to staff in handling complex accounts and/or issues.

  • Verify receipt of all pertinent information from clients.

  • Provide input on direction of any RCM related technology initiatives; including upgrades, new software, and/or change management.

  • Other special projects/assignments as needed.

    Minimum Experience and Skills Required:

  • Five (5) years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management.

  • Experience in behavioral health industry preferred.

  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) Certification or other Coding Certification preferred

  • Strong, in-depth knowledge of entire revenue cycle management process.

  • Demonstrate strong management skills and ability to motivate staff.

  • Ability to multi-task, quickly adapt to new priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Superior communication, problem-solving and follow-up skills.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong comprehension of insurance practices and documentation.

  • Knowledge of ICD and CPT guidelines.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Strong knowledge of billing software programs.

  • Bachelor's or Associate Degree in related field.
