Job Summary

Responsible for answering Avera Breast Center scheduling phones to accept outpatient diagnostic orders from providers. Interprets physician request for diagnostic tests and schedules and coordinates single to multiple appointments according to required patient care protocols. Determines medical necessity validation and handles medical information along with transpiring medical orders into the health information system.

Education and/or Experience

  • Associate of Science in Medical Assisting from an accredited university/college is preferred

  • 1 to 3 years of experience as a scheduler, biller, or in a medical office preferred.

  • Certified Medical Assistant preferred.

Work Schedule

  • Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm; 80hrs/2wks

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

  • $18.25 - $23.00 per hour
