About the job:

Under direct supervision, assists in patient care delivery as delegated by the provider. Performs clerical duties, phlebotomy, simple laboratory functions, and assists in direct patient care. Performs office duties as assigned. Adheres to the principles of Service Excellence Guiding Behaviors and the philosophy and mission of Mercy in all aspects of job performance.

What you will do:

Obtains vital signs, blood pressures, heights, and weights and records information appropriately, accurately and in a timely manner.

Demonstrates competency in performing phlebotomy, use of appropriate tubes for blood specimen collection, labeling, accurate identification, etc.

Assists with patient treatments as delegated, i.e., specimen collection, simple dressing changes.

Obtains EKG tracing as directed and ordered by physician/provider.

Transports patient as delegated.

What we are looking for:

Must have high school diploma or GED.

Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) required.

Maintains certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support.

A minimum of 1-2 years of related patient care experience preferred.
