Company DescriptionJob Description JOB DETAILS Base Pay: $24.50 per hour plus $2.50 shift differential Shift: 6PM- 6AM Rotating Shift Benefits start day one DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Roll Form Associates are responsible for all aspects of roll-formed accessory production, including tooling setup, machine operation, part inspection, product packaging, and material handling activities. Roll Form associates are expected to work in a safe, productive, and cooperative manner in accordance with Ply Gem policies and procedures. Complete all tasks as assigned by production department leadership Read, understand, and follow the steps outlined in SOPs for each task being performed. Deviations from established procedures are permitted only with supervisor approval Take prompt corrective action to eliminate safety hazards, minimize equipment downtime, reduce scrap generation, and correct deviations from quality standards Complete required documentation including production records, quality checks, product labels, and manifest transactions in a complete, legible, and accurate manner Operate equipment to produce cartons in the amounts specified by MTO ticket, Kanban card, or product delay card, as appropriate Perform established quality checks on parts at required intervals to ensure all product specifications are being met Assemble cartons, pack pieces, and load sealed cartons onto dollies for transport to the warehouse Properly manage all wastes generated, including segregation of recyclable materials and segregation of hazardous wastes by type Take steps to minimize the amount of waste generated Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safe and efficient operations Qualifications Previous manufacturing and/or maintenance leadexperience required Must be able to read, write and perform basic math skills as job duties require Must possess common sense, positive attitude, and demonstrate excellent attendance Must be quality and safety conscious, a team player Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist Must have good verbal and written communication skills and be able to interact with people Position Requires extensive standing, frequent bending, sitting, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, twisting and walking Required to wear/use personal protective equipment, tugger, overhead crane, carts, dollies and some hand tools Safe work performance is required from each Associate at all times Maintainproper discharge of safety responsibilities is an integral part of each Associate's performance appraisal The requirements listed below are in addition to the preceding essential functions for all Roll Form Associates: Tugger Operator Responsible for transporting manufactured products to the designated storage or shipping area based on the type of item Facilitate transfer of production signals within the facility through pickup/delivery of Kanban cards and delays between the warehouse and production areas Material Handler Review daily production schedules and manage supply of materials to production lines to ensure efficient operation Handle and transport materials in a safe, efficient, and careful manner that minimizes damage or causes scrap Monitor condition of scrap baskets, corrugated bins, and trash hoppers and haul full containers to the appropriate area for recycling or disposal Maintain WIP inventory accuracy through proper removal and recording of inventory tickets, and re-ticketing of unused material as needed Effectively prioritize multiple tasks to optimize operation of the production lines Monitor inventory of key supplies used in the production area and re-order as necessary to enable continued production Perforator Operator Responsible for daily operation of the perforator press Perform setups,
