JOB REQUIREMENTS: Environmental Compliance Leader - 51182 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Johnsonville, LLC Environmental Compliance Leader Position Overview: The Environmental Compliance Leader will manage the environmental compliance duties within the organization. You will work closely with the company\'s sanitarian, sanitation teams, maintenance teams and safety leaders to monitor chemical use and provide guidance on hazardous chemical disposal and the consequences chemicals might have at the treatment plants. This position will work closely with the WWTP operators and provide support with operations, DMRs, waste disposal, construction projects, regulation research, etc. The Environmental Leader will work closely with the yards and grounds team to assist with any stormwater issues and to ensure pond maintenance and wildlife management are safe and comply with laws. You will complete the Sheboygan campus facilities wastewater, stormwater, potable water, air emissions, Tier II and RMPs permits. Responsibilities: * Work closely with other plant maintenance coordinators, utility leaders and project managers to drive improvement in the areas of environmental compliance * Perform internal auditing, environmental training, and driving standardization and continuous improvement throughout the organization * Interface with State and Federal agencies, provide internal guidance on regulatory issues, manage the regulatory compliance of all Johnsonville facilities, and support business expansion * Drive the continuous improvement and implementation of the company\'s environmental program, updating and developing new risk-based programs to promote performance improvements and reduce risk * Communicate significant risk issues to the operations and senior leaders concerning environmental incidents and reporting, root-cause assessments, corrective actions, and non-compliance to drive change and improvements from the top down * Ensure full environmental compliance with federal and state regulations, environmental policies and company procedures across JVL facilities * Ensure all Johnsonville facility permits and written plans are in place and maintained * Lead the campus hazmat team and will co-lead the corporate PSM/RMP committee with PSM and support * Serve as Internal auditor to EHS/EMS & PSM Elements internal auditor * Develop and drive continuous improvement by creating proactive solutions and revising standard procedures and practices as needed to achieve and maintain environmental and operational excellence * Establish and maintain relationships with peer groups, trade associations and customers to support EHS and business functions * Occasional travel by car or air to other Johnsonville locations or vendors Location: Global Headquarters, Sheboygan Falls, WI (Flex/Hybrid Negotiable) Coach: Director of environment, Health & Safety Member Status: Full Time, Salaried Benefits: Members have potential for a monthly bonus, 401k with a company match and profit sharing.
