SUMMARY

The Bulk Handler loads each line with cheese that is to be crumbled and packaged. Bulk Handlers set up the equipment each morning and start the tear down process at the end of each day. bulk Handers must be able to work in a cool environment, keep pace with the machine and be detail oriented.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Assemble and disassemble equipment.

· Maintain and clean area, equipment, and personal sanitation.

· De-box/unwrap cheese from original packaging.

· Load cheese into machines / onto equipment for further processing.

· Keep line stocked with products and ingredients to assure no down time.

· Operate cutters and lifting equipment.

· Inspect/clean cheese.

· Operate a manual and electric pallet jack.

· Ability to rotate to all lines to include assisting on Wheel line and clearing red trays as needed.

· Communicate with machine operators on order specifications and quality issues.

· Perform handheld functions using a handheld scanner as needed.

· Perform any assignment or job task according to the stated safety policies and procedures.

· Understand the calibration of assigned equipment.

· Troubleshoot for the technical and mechanical functions of the assigned positions.

· Produce products in a manner that exceeds the quality and value expectation of our customers and consumers by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, Policies and Procedures as outlined.

· Other responsibilities as assigned by the manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

· High School Diploma or GED

· Communicate verbally

· Ability to read and comprehend documents such as batch orders, control panel information and work order print outs

· Ability to multi-task and prioritize under pressure

· Ability to work in cross-functional teams

· Work scheduled shifts and adhere to schedule as needed

· Detail oriented and quality driven

· Ability to work with minimum to moderate supervision beyond initial training

· Constantly required to stand up to 10 hrs. during a shift

· Constantly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds

· Frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds

· Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus naturally or with correction.
