Amazon Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer, Selling Partner Support in Seattle, Washington

Description

Selling Partner Support (SP-Support) drives success for both third-party sellers and vendors through a combination of people, processes and services. The All Amazon Support team within SP-Support leads cross-functional initiatives to improve the consistency and quality of the selling partner contact experience.

The Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer contributes to the team's mission by defining new data structures that work backwards from the selling partner experience and internal partner teams across Amazon. Through a unified dataset, all teams supporting selling partner contacts will be enabled to consistently discuss and improve support experiences. The Sr. BIE performs analyses, creates visualizations and develops automated reporting solutions that inform decisions and inspire change.

Key job responsibilities

The Sr. BIE has a passion for diving deep to understand details and working cross-functionally to validate challenges and priorities. The ideal candidate has experience in developing data architecture and data governance.

The Sr. BIE will help develop 3Y plans to scale and support growing business needs. They have extensive technical knowledge (data engineering, business intelligence) and strong business acumen. They also have strong attention to detail, and an ability to work in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.

Seattle, WA, USA

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of professional or military experience

  • 5+ years of SQL experience

  • Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets

  • Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results

  • Experience with AWS technologies

  • Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.

  • Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs

  • Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
