Amazon Software Development Engineer, Paragon Case Management System, Selling Partner Experience in Seattle, Washington

Our team is responsible for Case Management System, Paragon that serves 145+ Amazon business with 60K active users per month.

We are looking for software engineers who thrive on complex problems and relish the challenge of operating complex and mission critical systems under extreme loads. Our systems manage case resolution systems with hundreds of millions of requests, and respond to millions of service requests. We have both frontend and backend code stack and opportunities. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to all parts of the software development and deployment lifecycle, including design, development, documentation, testing and maintenance. As a Software Development Engineer on the team you will take ownership over the software design, documentation, development, engineering approach, delivery and support of systems built natively in AWS. In this role you will collaborate with leaders, work backwards from customers, identify problems, propose innovative solutions, relentlessly raise standards, and have a positive impact on hundreds of millions of customers.

A day in the life

As a Software Development Engineer on the team you will take ownership over the software design, documentation, development, engineering approach, delivery and support of systems built natively. In this role you will collaborate with leaders, work backwards from customers, identify problems, propose innovative solutions, relentlessly raise standards, and have a positive impact on hundreds of millions of customers.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

  • Experience with general troubleshooting/debugging of hardware

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

  • Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $115,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
