First Horizon Bank Director of Franchise Finance in Scottsdale, Arizona

Location: On-site, Scottsdale AZ

Summary

Responsible for the overall management of the Franchise Finance line of business including strategic planning, business development and portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Develop and implement a strategic plan to grow First Horizon’s Franchise Finance line of business, which focuses on financing national and regional restaurant and fitness operators.

  • Create and articulate a vision for the line of business and lead the team toward that vision.

  • Manage business development and portfolio management activities to support growth and asset quality goals.

  • Oversee a strategic calling plan which targets national and regional restaurant and fitness prospects.

  • Participate in calling effort with Relationship Managers on complex or high value relationships and prospects.

  • Protect the Franchise Finance portfolio assets through the proper administration and execution of operational and risk management policies and procedures specific to the restaurant and fitness industries.

  • Manage the loan process to ensure a good customer experience regardless of the lending decision.

  • Responsible for the direct management of the team which includes Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers, Credit Analysts and other support staff within the Franchise Finance line of business, including recruitment, hiring, goal setting, employee performance management, team building and team performance.

  • Represent the Bank at industry conventions and customer sponsored events to promote the Bank’s image.

Preferred skills and qualifications

  • 4 year degree or equivalent experience

  • 10 + years related experience required

  • Solid understanding of lending to operators in the restaurant and fitness industries

  • Sales management and business development experience and proven ability to network

  • Demonstrated leadership experience and proven expertise hiring and developing talent

  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication

  • Excellent customer orientation, interpersonal and organizational skills
