SUMMARY

Responsible for information coordination associated with the design and production of the weekly circular and other related marketing materials for Northeast Shared Services Advertising Department. This includes but not limited to facilitating the collection and distribution of information and reading, reviewing and quality control of advertising elements before being released to the printers. Ensures there are no spelling or grammatical errors, pricing errors, versioning errors or misrepresentation of product information.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act as a liaison between merchandising areas and design team with regard to weekly advertisements, special wraps, mailers, grand opening pieces, ROPs, sweepstakes information, emails, digital ads, and merchandising feed files/ad plans for advertising elements.

• Facilitate collection of ad information. Review products, descriptions, prices, versioning and miscellaneous information for each ad submitted by merchandising areas. Record, prepare and communicate this information to design team.

• Proofread ads before released to printer. Perform spelling and grammar checks, price checks and logical representation of product information to consumers.

• Add layer of quality control – check for wrong art, correct headers, page numbers, and basic design inconsistencies.

• Write and distribute zoning lists, which entails consolidation of all information provided by merchandising areas for production/versioning.

• Edit and write copy on an as needed basis.

• Distribute and file/archive printed weekly ads.

• Produce basic design projects utilizing advertising design software. Projects may include free-standing coupons, 1-2 color single sheet flyers and miscellaneous signs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Satisfactory performance reviews.

• Strong communication skills.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.

• Driven and self-motivated.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Associates degree in graphic design or business.

1+ years of related experience.
