Job Description:

About the Position

In this role you will:

  • Coordinate grant research, plan and develop the grant application, as well as grant tracking and administration.

  • Interpret County and Transit financials, policies and procedures.

  • Identify, coordinate and resolve moderately complex financial and operational issues and reports.

  • Operate with minimal supervision exercising a high degree of independent judgement in resolving problems.

  • Manage the fixed assets inventory list.

  • Serve as one-half of dual control finance team for processing of vault revenues collected, management of pass inventory and other dual control functions.

  • Support Transit fiscal and grant operations including grant reporting, planning, coordination, and project management for Federal Transit Administration (FTA), the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Commission for Transportation Disadvantaged and other related compliance responsibilities.

Work Hours:

  • Full-Time, 40 hours Per Week

  • Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. | No weekends!

  • This position is e-work eligible for 1 day/week (after serving a probationary period of 6 months).

About You

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.

  • Two (2) years job-related professional experience.

  • -OR- Six (6) years professional job-related experience can be substituted at management discretion for the required experience.

  • -OR- Related professional experience or certifications may substitute for the required education.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with transit grant applications, reporting within the State of Florida, or p rior government experience.

About Everything Else

Starting Pay Range: $57,577.60 - $60,000.00 based upon experience.
