Responsibilities

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures and/or NIV testing at a technical level not requiring constant supervision, under the general direction of a radiologist and radiology administration. In accordance with the mission and philosophy of Dignity Health, the Sonographer is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for performing diagnostic testing used in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for patients.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Must have completed a formal Sonography course or have completed four years of progressively responsible experience in an ultrasound department (such experience must have been within the last five years).

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Current certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Ultrasonographers (RDMS) or RDCS or RVT in at least one field of specialization (i.e. Echocardiography/Doppler, Abdominal or OB/Gyn) or eligibility for certification and must achieve certification within one year of eligibility (CT ARDMS)

  • Current Basic Life Support for healthcare providers required (CT CPRBLS)

Pay Range

$84.84 - $84.84 /hour
