To provide full HR services to internal clients and assist other Layton HR staff in fulfilling the department's mission.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support HR Business Directors and recruiting team in various HR functions, including but not limited to employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, and HR administration.
  • Employee Onboarding and Offboarding: Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing paperwork, conducting orientation sessions, and ensuring a smooth transition into the organization. Also, assist with offboarding activities such as exit interviews and processing termination paperwork.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS and other HR databases. Prepare HR-related reports and documents as needed, including organizational charts, job descriptions, and HR metrics.
  • Support in ensuring compliance with HR policies, procedures, and legal regulations. Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and initiatives.
  • Assist in communicating HR policies, procedures, and initiatives to employees. Respond to employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR-related matters.
  • Coordinate training and development activities for employees, including scheduling training sessions, tracking attendance, and evaluating training effectiveness.
  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and inquiries.
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving HR processes, enhancing employee engagement, and supporting organizational goals.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret HR data to identify trends and insights. Prepare HR-related reports and presentations for management review.
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and events to promote a positive work culture.
  • Assist in employee relations and investigations.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience plus 3 years minimum generalist experience. * Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional and law journals, technical procedures, and government regulations. * Ability to write reports, policies, business correspondence and procedure manuals. * Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and/or the public regarding all areas of HR. * Basic personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, Internet searching, etc. * Prioritize, organize, and delegate assignments.
