Overview

Purpose:

Sets-up and operates assigned fabrication and finishing machines, including hydraulic, pneumatic and electric equipment which are used to produce food grade stainless steel parts. Employees must maintain the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. Follows established departmental policies, procedures, objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety control standards. Embraces the Lean Enterprise strategy and adheres to all safety policies.

Sets-up and operates conventional fabrication and finishing equipment. Must be able to run following equipment at a competent level: glass bead blasting, hydraulic press, drill press, and stroking machine.

Using standard hand tools and small power tools (hand dr lls, hand grinders, etc.), and pneumatic hand helds in

blasting, grinding, deburring, blending and polishing.

Effectively uses basic measuring tools to inspect parts and maintains quality standards by using charts, inspection to print and other in-process inspection procedures.
