Summary

San Leandro and Alameda Hospitals are a part of Alameda Health System. They are community-based hospitals providing inpatient and outpatient services to a diverse population in the East Bay. As a provider of care to all patients, Alameda Health System provides quality, accessible care to our community's most vulnerable patients. The Community Hospitals provide services that include inpatient medical services, surgical and intensive care, 24-hour emergency services, and a range of ancillary services including imaging, laboratory testing, and rehabilitation therapy.

We are currently recruiting for a Part Time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) - Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - to join our Emergency Department (ED) team. Our team of APPs and doctors staffs both of the Community EDs.

San Leandro has an active ED with an annual volume of 28,000 visits. It has 13 monitored beds, a Vertical Care Area, and capacity to expand to additional care areas during a surge. The ED is staffed with 26 hours of APP coverage between 9AM and 1AM (no overnight shifts).

The Alameda ED has an annual volume of approximately 14,000 visits. It is a 12-bed department with limited surge capacity. Alameda serves as a designated Stroke Center for the System. There is one daily APP shift at Alameda from 2PM to 11PM (no overnight shifts).

The doctors and APPs are a cohesive team that work side by side to care for patients in all areas of the ED. With a new Point of Care Ultrasound program, APPs are encouraged to expand their scope within Emergency Medicine.
