Oriental Bank Advisor, Retail Banking (Direct Sales) in San Juan, Puerto Rico

The Advisor, Retail Banking supports retail open market sales strategies under Oriental Contigo Program and is responsible for the growth of the program’s portfolio assigned. Position requires to visit clients and will be working hybrid based in Hatillo, PR.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Look for new business opportunities for the growth of Oriental Contigo Program as the main retail open market products and service sales strategy.

  • Look for business references by actively promoting the benefits of the Oriental Contigo program and working with the business units to offer the program to potential commercial customers as an added value to their employees, increasing the link between services and products.

  • Coordinates and conducts Oriental Contigo activities at companies and ensure a positive experience. Develop strong business relations with the key personnel from Oriental Contigo customers.

  • Responsible for the growth of the Oriental Contigo portfolio assigned and propose and support retention and growth strategies.

  • Support strategies for customer’s migration towards the use of alternative channels (online banking, mobile banking, and online services).

  • Act as a guardian of the brand in all customers calls interactions and serve as spokesperson for the voice of customers to contribute to improving processes and products that allow achieving the bank’s goals.

  • Promoted and cross-sell other banks products and services by promoting Oriental Contigo benefits.

  • Ensure compliance with the bank policy and regulations in every account or transaction performed.

  • Responsible for accounts opening and related services, including debit cards complying with bank instructions, policies, and regulations.

  • Keep up with the changes and advances in customers experience themes and advise on new approaches to adopt.

  • Other duties may be assigned.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related required.

  • Three (3) year of related experience in direct sales required.

  • Minimum education and experience required can be substituted with the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.

  • Ability to deliver a strong, effective, and high-level presentations, achieving full engagement of the audience.

  • Focused and goal-oriented; knowledge of all sales initiatives with the ability to collaborate with other departments. Demonstrate enthusiasm about the sales support role and remain up to date with changes.

  • Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills. Ability to work with minimum supervision, under pressure, and able to meet deadlines.

  • Excellent research, composition and/or editing and proofreading skills, with enhanced ability to communicate complex or technical information to the public.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

  • Computer proficiency in MS Office environment required.
