Overview:

Robert Half is partnering with a leading organization in the Women's Health industry to recruit a dedicated and experienced Patient Financial Advisor. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that patients receive excellent financial guidance and support throughout their healthcare journey. If you are passionate about helping patients navigate financial matters and have a background in healthcare finance, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Counseling: Provide personalized financial counseling to patients, ensuring they understand their financial responsibilities, insurance coverage, and available payment options.

  • Insurance Verification: Verify patients' insurance coverage, including eligibility, benefits, and pre-authorization requirements. Work closely with insurance companies to resolve any discrepancies or issues.

  • Billing Support: Collaborate with billing and coding teams to ensure accurate and timely submission of claims. Assist patients with understanding their medical bills and resolving billing inquiries or disputes.

  • Financial Assistance Programs: Assist patients in exploring and applying for financial assistance programs, including Medicaid, Medicare, and other community resources. Advocate for patients to ensure they receive the financial support they need.

  • Payment Plans and Financing Options: Work with patients to establish payment plans and explore financing options for medical expenses. Provide guidance on budgeting and financial planning to help patients manage healthcare costs effectively.

  • Compliance and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of financial counseling sessions and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and industry standards. Protect patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines at all times.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, healthcare administration, or related field.

  • Previous experience in healthcare finance, preferably in a women's health or medical setting.

  • Knowledge of insurance verification, billing processes, and financial assistance programs.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize and build rapport with patients.

  • Detail-oriented and organized, with excellent problem-solving abilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and healthcare billing software.
