San Diego Humane Society is hiring full-time Community Veterinary Program (CVP) Associates for our San Diego Campus!

Through these essential services, we help keep animals with their families and out of shelters.As the typical first point of contact for guests visiting or calling the Program, CVP Associates support our mission by proactively removing barriers to accessing care for animals in our community.     What you’ll do:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for CVP and work to resolve challenging guest interactions or other issues with resource navigation. Perform clerical duties such as data entry, operating multi-line phones, filing and record keeping as necessary.

  • Process vouchers for veterinary assistance, transport and spay/neuter services.

  • Provide critical support for our Community Cat Program, Medical department and other departments as needed.

  • Schedule and maintain guest appointments for veterinary clinics and assist with scheduling appointments for Foster & Rescue and Community Cat Program as needed.

  • Safely handle, restrain and transport animals for Return to Field (RTF) and administration of vaccines and microchips.

    What we’re looking for:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and one (1) year of experience in customer services/guest relations required.

  • Working knowledge of animal breeds, general care, and behavior related information strongly preferred.

  • Bilingual skills a plus, Bilingual-Spanish preferred.

  • Valid passport or ability obtain a passport within one (1) year of appointment preferred.

    Location: Based at our San Diego Campus, with the occasion of off-site special and mobile events. This position works a 4/10 Alternative Work Schedule.

    Pay: Starting range is between $18.25 – $20.53 per hour and is eligible for an hourly bilingual-Spanish premium. The hourly rate is determined by your related education and experience.
