Responsibilities

RN LPS In-Take Coordinator in the Behavioral Healthcare Services setting performs duties within the scope of practice for his/her license as defined by California Department of Consumer Affairs. Behavioral Health Services professionals functions part of an interdisciplinary team per the Mental Health Department policies and procedures. They follow the guidelines of practice for the treatment of patients with psychiatric illnesses. The RN LPS In-Take Coordinator performs the initial assessment of psychiatric patients to determine in collaboration with the psychiatrist what level of care is required for treatment. The RN LPS In-Take Coordinator oversees the quality of outreach activities for the Department of Mental Health at CHSB. Nursing policies also address the range of practice for a registered nurse at this hospital. Interdisciplinary and Psychiatric Credentialing Committees regulate the practice of other Mental Health Practioners. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Community Hospital of San Bernardino. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support Community Hospital of San Bernardino strategic plan and the goals and direction of the quality improvement process and activities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two (2) years acute psychiatric experience in nursing. Community Liason and non-violent crisis intervention program is required.

  • LPS annual designation through San Bernardino County required.

  • California Registered Nurse License

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required

  • Non-violent crisis intervention program required within three (3) months of hire.

Pay Range

$51.97 - $67.83 /hour
