Founded as a faith-based hospital in 1931 by the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word Dignity Health – St. Bernardine Medical Center is a 342-bed acute care nonprofit hospital located in San Bernardino California. Responsibilities

Delegated authority and responsibility to analyze and resolve maintenance problems for stationary and mobile mechanical and electrical equipment such as steam boilers, pumps, generator sets, compressors, air handlers, vacuum pumps and refrigeration equipment to provide for utilities such as light, heat, water, and power for refrigeration air conditioning heating and other services as required for the hospital. Assists with ordering materials and supplies. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of St. Bernardine Medical Center. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support St. Bernardine Medical Center's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the quality improvement/process improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience as a boiler operator

• Knowledge and understanding in the safe operation and repair of steam boilers boiler auxiliaries generator sets refrigeration plants and other types of machinery equipment and systems which make up the physical plant of the hospital.

Pay Range

$40.98- $51.50 /hour
