ManTech Systems Engineer (Administrator) in San Antonio, Texas

Join a new and exciting opportunity to protect national security and provide premier mission focused IT services for a dynamic and growing program. Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Engineer (Administrator) to join our team in San Antonio, TX.

In this role, you will provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems and manage IT system infrastructure as well as any processes related to problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Build/Update baseline images for deployment

  • Support Windows and Linux operating systems

  • Coordinate and manage desktop infrastructure transition and modernization

  • Support PC internals, network hardware, thin clients, software, and peripherals

  • Manage IT Inventory and coordinate infrastructure modernization for end-user support

  • Maintain directory services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and LDAP computer networking.

  • Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.

  • Must be able to perform expert-level troubleshooting.

  • Support the design of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware.

  • Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration.

  • Demonstrated experience with modern automation/configuration tools.

  • Administer systems (Windows and Linux) and ensure system compliance.

  • Automation of projects as needed.

  • Oversee EOL and EOS components on the SSP.

  • The ability to troubleshoot higher-level problems and resolve complex technical issues where documentation is either lacking or non-existent.

  • Coordinate outages and modernizations projects.

  • Work with the Network Engineers on growth and scalability of SSP.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Shall have a minimum of Fourteen (14) years’ experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required

  • A Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related professional engineering discipline from an accredited college or university is required.

  • Additional four (4) years of experience may be substituted for a degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in implementing solutions with PKI-controlled access is desired.

  • Understanding networking components is desired.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Current/Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
