ManTech Patch Administrator II in San Antonio, Texas

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Patch Administrator II to join our team in San Antonio, TX.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • The Patch Administrator II demonstrates a solid understanding of patch management remediation.

  • They implement updates, patches, and security configurations to ensure system integrity and work with IT infrastructure support and service teams, including Network Engineers, Systems Administrators, and software development teams, to accomplish patch administration.

  • Patch management functions, such as downloading and staging patching and deploying patching in secure environments; tracking and addressing security compliance and patch management tasks; imaging, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing hardware; performing system builds and site buildouts as per ManTech standards; performing cable management in server racks and workstation areas; performing general system administration functions (add, change, remove); and using contract-specified patch management software (may vary by agency Task Order) for moves, adds, and changes.

  • They have knowledge of WSUS and RHEL patch management tools and placement of security patches for automating updates. They follow pre-established technical and agency-specific system policies and processes and possess good organizational and task management skills. The Patch Administrator II takes direction from more senior personnel.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT- related discipline and at least four (4) years of experience

  • DoD 8570.01-m IAT Level II Certification required.

  • Proven problem-solving ability, with exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of systems administration support.

  • 3+ years of patch management support experience.

  • 2+ years of Microsoft Desktop OS patching experience.

  • 2+ years of Linux/RHEL OS patching experience.

  • 2+ years of experience with Desktop, Desktop operating systems, and printing technologies.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Top Secret Clearance required.

  • Must be a United States Citizen.

Physical Requirement:

  • Must be able to be in a stationary position for more than 50% of the time.
