Job Summary and Qualifications

Seeking a Director of Transplant Clinics for Methodist Hospital – Specialty & Transplant Hospital who is responsible for overseeing all clinical operations for the Hepatobiliary and Liver Transplant Programs. Executes sound clinical business strategy that promotes service, relationships, and volume. Responsible for meeting internal procedural requirements as set forth by each organ-specific transplant steering committee as well as meeting external requirements regarding Transplant Services as defined by UNOS, TJC, Medicare, and Medicaid in each respective area. Works closely with physicians to ensure high quality services are provided by each of the programs. What You Will Do In Your Role:

  • Provides leadership and oversight for transplant clinic staff, ensuring the proper tools, resources, and environment to carry out their responsibilities, including operating within compliance of TJC, Medicare, Medicaid and UNOS regulations.

  • Responsible for developing and overseeing an adequate recruitment, training, education, and competency program for staff.

  • In close collaboration with the Transplant Quality and Compliance Manager, develops adequate QA/PI plans for each respective area and holds staff accountable for ensuring that plans, goals, and targets are achieved; serves as a content expert on policies and procedures where appropriate.

  • Achieves and maintains high standards of patient and referring physician satisfaction in regards to each clinical program and responds accordingly when complaints arise.

  • Works effectively with each program Medical and Surgical Director, ensuring strong lines of communication and follow-up, and jointly addressing and resolving issues proactively as they are identified.

  • In close collaboration with the Manager of the Transplant Satellite Clinics, develops appropriate processes and oversight for effective operations of each of the respective satellite clinic locations.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.

  • Preferred: Degree in Healthcare Administration or General Business.

  • Minimum two years’ experience in management/administration.
