Responsibilities

This position will work with Hospital and Clinic Administration and other departments such as Diagnostic Medical Imaging, and Surgical Services, to provide general program oversight, affect program development and program integration with other hospital departments and ensure the achievement of program quality and clinical objectives. The Procedural Clinical Coordinator will work with the Cancer and Breast Navigator programs, along with Pre-Op surgery program. This position will assist the Director of Perioperative Services with administrative duties.

They will be responsible for all aspects of patient education for Surgical and Cancer patients from Pre- Admission to Post Discharge. Assesses patient needs and plans and implements appropriate care. Maintains a current nursing license in the state of practice. The Procedural Clinical Coordinator monitors the patients care needs and patient experience. Collaborates with members of the healthcare team providing leadership, personal/professional development. Works with other medical staff to plan, implement and evaluate care given to the patient population in support of a positive patient experience. Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given according to organizational standards and in compliance with applicable regulations.

Performs patient care as needed and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of surgery experience

  • BSN or currently enrolled in program

  • RN - CA

  • BLS - AHA

  • ACLS

  • PALS

Pay Range

$54.69 - $74.99 /hour
