Job Summary

The behind-the-scenes magic maker to keep Youth Theatre summer sessions running smooth! This position will work closely with the Youth Theatre Director to ensure that all of our paperwork and administrative tasks are in line so that we can deliver a great summer to the students in our program.

Not just a desk job- there are tons of opportunities to get involved with the fun of camp.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities :

  • Assist with program curriculum and planning

  • Schedule and confirm logistical items for each session

  • Coordinate and confirm artists/teachers

  • Track paperwork and payments for artists/teachers

  • Create an itinerary and counselor packet for each session

  • Organize and file student paperwork

  • Record information in database

  • Assist director in tracking Youth Theatre finances

  • Order supplies, ensures timely arrival of materials, and helps track inventory

  • Participate in camp when needed

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Familiar with camp culture and experience in a camp setting

  • Ability to program activities

  • Demonstrates excellent telephone and customer service skills

  • Demonstrates computer literacy (Word, Excel, Database Entry)

  • Ability to work on a team

  • Demonstrates superior organizational skills

  • Ability to research and resolve problems in a timely manner

  • Ability to handle sensitive issues in a professional manner

General Office :

  • Answer phones in courteous manner

  • Assists parents and students with registration and any other questions

  • Check voicemail and e-mail daily and respond to messages promptly

  • Be familiar with university and community resources as information for customers

  • Track, maintain and organize documents and student paperwork

  • Create correspondence to students / parents as needed

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Preferences

  • Must be at least 18

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Excellent telephone and customer service skills

  • Demonstrates computer literacy (Word, Excel, PeopleSoft )

  • Demonstrates excellent organizational skills

  • Ability to research and resolve problems in a timely manner

  • Ability to handle sensitive issues in a professional manner

  • Experience working in a youth or camp setting

  • Is experienced at maintaining budgets and financial reports

  • Demonstrates ability to work on a team

  • Has experience in project coordination

  • High school diploma or equivalency required. One year full-time customer service experience or equivalency, demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills also required.

  • Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.
