Postdoctoral Fellow in Developmental Health at the University of Utah. Post-Doctoral Fellow/Research Associate needed for projects examining how families deal with chronic health conditions across the life span. Multiple longitudinal datasets are available to examine questions concerning how families deal with type 1 diabetes across adolescence and emerging adulthood and how couples cope with type diabetes across the life span. Current projects involve a multi-generational study of families where multiple family members have type 1 diabetes and an intervention targeting optimizing social networks during emerging adulthood. Ideal candidates would have background and interests in one or more of the following: pediatric psychology, diabetes self-management, adult development and aging, chronic illness during adulthood, and longitudinal research and analysis. Strong quantitative skills are desirable in longitudinal data analysis, SEM, and multi-level modeling. Position involves working closely with an interdisciplinary team of investigators in developmental psychology, quantitative psychology, clinical, health, pediatrics and cancer. The person would also intersect with the Consortium for Families and Health Research (http://www.utah.edu/faculty/c-fahr/). Responsibilities include working closely with Dr. Berg on data analysis, preparation of manuscripts and grant writing.
