Legal Assistant

Salt Lake City, UT (hybrid)

$55-70K/year DOE

A growing law firm in Salt Lake City is seeking to add a Legal Assistant to their Intellectual Property team. This role will be assisting Attorneys with their day-to-day needs and will require someone that can keep things moving forward accurately and on-time. This role is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to grow in their legal career within intellectual property with a highly regarded firm.

What will the Legal Assistant be doing?

  • Managing all day-to-day administrative support for Attorneys

  • Managing calendaring/scheduling

  • Keeping Attorneys up to date on appointments, deadlines, and keeping them organized

  • Managing emails, phone calls, and other communication

  • Filing patent and trademark applications

  • Keeping all parties informed of new information, changes, and deadlines

  • Managing client portfolios and filings

  • Drafting correspondence, letters, and responses

  • Tracking billable hours and expenses for Attorneys

  • Assisting Paralegals and Attorneys with other tasks as assigned

What is required?

  • 2+ years of IP experience (patent and trademark)

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Federal and State court filing experience ideal

  • Computer proficiency (Office Suite, ProLaw)

  • Professional written and verbal communication

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Strong problem solving skills
