Family Medicine Physician Clinical Faculty with Obstetrics Sugarhouse Clinic
We invite you to join the multidisciplinary faculty of the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine in the University of Utah School of Medicine. We are seeking a board-certified family physician for the position of Family Medicine Physician Clinical Faculty with Obstetrics. You will be joining a strong family medicine faculty group and have opportunities for teaching family medicine residents, medical students, and other health science trainees. We practice in a team-based care model, with behavioral health specialists, care managers, clinical pharmacists, dieticians, and others as part of our primary care team.
Obstetrics practice (both ambulatory prenatal care and in patient labor and delivery) is required with this position.
OB Clinical resources include:
In-house back up from the University of Utah Department of OB- GYN
Manageable call schedules
Favorable malpractice environment
The Sugarhouse Health Center is a multi-specialty center, including Urgent Care, located in the Sugarhouse neighborhood of Salt Lake City. The clinic serves this vibrant and diverse community as well as drawing from a broader urban and suburban patient base.
Qualifications
Board certification by The American Board of Family Medicine
Unrestricted Utah state medical license
Experience in clinical medicine, teaching and scholarship is preferred.
Responsibilities

- 0.85 FTE – Clinical care
+
- 0.10 FTE – Precepting residents in their continuity clinics
+
- 0.05 FTE – Education and scholarship
o Scholarly projects
o Teaching in didactic and small group formats
o Mentorship and evaluation of residents

- 1.0 FTE total
+
- OB call approximately 1:8, subject to change related to the needs of the practice.
